Back to Rock Eagle
Beginning in the early 1980's Founder, Carpenter and Cabinetmaker Michael W. Crowley leased shop space
from a former employer and cabinet shop owner. The task at hand - to build some commercial cabinets for a friend at Humana Hospital in suburban Atlanta, Ga. The hospital had
just gone through a major renovation and the project had fallen behind schedule. Many of the new cabinets that were in
storage for this project were not properly stored and had sufferedsevere water damage. The company that had provided the cabinets for this project was not interested in replacing these damaged units. This left the hospital in a terrible predicament. Mr. Crowley took on this task to replace these for Humana. After completing this Humana project (which turned out to be a large one) a permanent facility was set up in Stone Mountain, Ga.

This proved to be the beginning of "Crowley's Casework's" Inc. From there it was many commercial projects- cabinets for Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Dunwoody Medical Center and many more. Not
afraid to tackle any challenge, Crowley's Casework's Inc. went on to do the casework in the new Atlanta Fulton
County Airport control tower for the FAA. They also did a "POP UP" prototype for the FAA's experimental ground
radar system at Atlantas'Hartsfield International Airports control tower. Other commercial projects have included
storage units and displays for the United States Marine Corps- Parris Island, S.C. clothing issue building, Graphic switchingconsoles and counters for CNN News, Reception and service counters for CNN and Turner Broadcastings video libraries, and the 1996 summer Olympics "Super Store's" cash wraps and displays for A.C.O.G..
Later in the 1980's Crowley's Casework's Inc. took on sub-contract store fixture work for Macy's and Richs Dept. stores. This led to a whole new direction for the company. Soon after, they started providing fixtures for Uptons' and
Performance Bicycle's new store programs. The Performance Bicycle project was coast to coast with 20 stores opening per year. It didn't take long to grow out of their 8000sq.ft. Facility in suburban Atlanta. They moved to a new 12,000sq.ft. Facility on 3 acres with room to expand in Eatonton, Ga. Located near the pre-historic Rock Eagle Effigy site, the company decided to name a separate "Store Fixture Division". Hence - Rockeagle Store Fixtures came into existence.

Now in the new millennium, Rockeagle and Crowley's Casework's Inc.are moving ahead. Currently employing 15 plus, and with room for expansion, they are definitely poised and ready for the future. With their new facility, state of the art CNC machinery and top notch employees, they are continuing to provide quality commercial cabinetry and store fixtures for Americas leading retailers and institutions.
